ABOUT NOMAD
After years of practice in well-established multi-specialty referral hospitals in Manhattan, San Diego, Westchester and Fairfield County, Dr. Alex Rousseau recognized a need amongst referring veterinarians. In July 2014, he founded Nomad Veterinary Specialty Services. Our goal is to expand services offered at your facility and, in the near future, become a "go-to" resource for all needs of the private practice owner.
Prior to the creation of Nomad VSS, Dr. Rousseau has served as staff Criticalist and head of the Emergency and Critical Care Department in multi-specialty practices in San Diego, CA (2005-2008), Yonkers, NY (2008-2011) and Stamford, CT (2011-2014). He has been involved in the training of numerous interns and residents, and was honored with The Animal Medical Center Teacher of the Year Award in 2005. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Rousseau enjoys photography, ice hockey, and working on his old house with his wife and his young children.
